The owner

Mark, is the owner and works full time with Vianney the winemaker and consultant Olivier on development and sales. Based in Cornwall (Padstow); his home, he travels frequently to Bordeaux. In a past life, he has a PhD in medical electronics.

They make just one wine, Cchateau Civrac, which Mark imports to the UK himself. Supplies direct to Michelin restaurants and small independent stockists. Details are all available on www.civrac.com

Mark says: ‘I believe that I am the only Cornishman making and selling wine to the French. We were voted one of the best 500 wines in France in our first 6 months. We were placed at the top of the appellation for our first harvest (06) by Bettane et Dausauve.’
