Wine travel guides - Plan your own wine tours in Bordeaux
I have contributed the eight Bordeaux micro-region guides for Wine Travel Guides since May 2007 - with all areas regularly updated. Conceived by UK-based wine writer Wink Lorch, these travel guides to wine regions - aimed at wine tourists, not necessarily wine connoisseurs - cover every significant wine region in France, and later this year will be extending into other wine regions of Europe - Rioja, the Mosel and Tuscany to begin with.
The 46 on-line travel guides to French wine regions each have recommendations of interesting wine producers to visit and a range of places to stay, eat and shop, all selected by independent wine and travel writers. Each recommendation has full contact details as well as links and its GPS location, making it very easy to plan your own wine tour. Guides are updated at least once a year.
To download and view a sample travel guide on the site, it’s simple to register with your email address. Then choose from three annual subscription options: Bronze gives you a PDF download of one micro-region guide; Silver gives three PDF downloads; Gold gives access to all the guides on the site including interactive Michelin maps and green guides. Gift subscriptions are also available.
